Celebrate the Week of the Young Child and Highlight the Importance of Early Care and Education by Joining Other Providers and Children in the City for:
The 2nd Annual Walk Around the Block
ECE Advocacy Campaign
Tuesday, April 24th at 10:00 a.m.
On Tuesday, April 24th at 10:00 a.m., ECE center and family child care providers, directors, parents and advocates will all join together in a citywide advocacy campaign to raise awareness about the importance of ECE and to tell our local legislators to say no to any additional cuts to child care.
We are asking all providers in the city to take the children in their care and walk around the block at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, April 24th to highlight the importance of ECE in our communities and for the families and children in San Francisco.
We will be organizing an advocacy event at City Hall at 10:00 a.m. (with a press conference at 9:45 on the steps of City Hall) and have asked Supervisors, Department Heads and the Mayor to join us in walking around the block, but even if you can’t make it to City Hall you can still participate in your neighborhood!
Please download fliers that you can use during the walk to highlight some important facts about ECE and raise public awareness about the vital role you serve in our community!
For more information on how to participate contact Amanda Montague at 415.244.2717 or firstname.lastname@example.org or visit www.sfchildcareandearlyeducation.com
All you need to participate in the ECE Walk Around the Block Advocacy Campaign is a belief that you can make a difference and that ECE and ECE providers deserve to be recognized as a vital part of our community!Download the Walk-Around-the-Block-checklist
